ExperienceI am a 3rd generation Alaskan, the great-grandson of a Sourdough Goldminer who staked his claim in Interior Alaska during the Goldrush during the early part of the 20th century.
My life has never been boring. I've been a commercial fisherman, machine operator, vacuum cleaner salesman, tow truck driver, construction worker, underwater photographer, internet geek, taxi cab driver and most recently an underpaid radio and television talk show host. I started in radio at the age of 16, but according to my Mother I was making up characters and doing fake 'reporting' into a tape recorded from the age of 8. Performing in front of a microphone has always been part of who I am. Over my two decades of work in media I have been creating messages for radio, tv and now internet format.I have been awarded for creative copywriting and broadcasting and have worked for clients nationwide. Big or small, intimidating or mild mannered, cultured or craven. I can be a Corporate Executive or a NYC street huslter. Tender as steamed broccoli or gravely as a country road.......ok, enough of the metaphors. I currently do voiceover work in both radio and television and have a 2 hour daily call-in radio show. I believe that voiceover is more than just a smooth voice. The key to a successful working relationship is understanding that the tastes, needs and desires of each client are different. That booming movie-trailer sound is probably not the right sound for narrating an E-learning video, or voicing an ad for a children's store. When you choose me to voice your project, we will work together to determine the tone and pacing that best suits your particular audience. As an experienced talent, I will offer you my considered advice when asked, while still taking your direction at all times. Your satisfaction is my top priority, and only by listening to and incorporating your input, will our relationship succeed. That means, no matter what, I will custom-tailor my sound to fit your preferences. For an example of the versatile range of voiceovers I provide, please see my Voice Samples page ProfessionalismMy clients are my livelihood, and they deserve absolute satisfaction. When you hire me, you are not just hiring a voice; you are hiring a total customer service experience. It is my policy to be available to my clients at all times. I believe in the great American commercial philosophy that says, "Always go the extra mile." I will not rest until you are happy with the product you receive. Furthermore, I'm well aware that in today's fast-paced media environment time is of the essence.
I have full access to professional studios and the ability to turn most small projects around within 24-48 hours. |
more than a voiceWhile most clients ask for a dry, unedited voice track, or a finished audio file, I can offer more. From my studio, I can add music or sound effects to any project, and to deliver to you a mixed down, fully-edited and timed product that is ready for immediate use. I am also an experienced copywriter, I am happy to offer script writing and editing services for any client projects.
